Saxon

I Saxon (Sassone in lingua inglese) sono un gruppo musicale heavy metal proveniente da Barnsley, Yorkshire, in Inghilterra (Regno Unito), fondato nel 1976 da membri dei Son of a Bitch e dei Coast.
Tra i gruppi di punta dell'ondata NWOBHM, i Saxon conquistarono il successo con i famosi tre album Wheels of Steel (1980), Strong Arm of the Law (1980) e Denim and Leather (1981) che gli permetteranno di conquistare un posto nella lista dei grandi dell'heavy metal. I Saxon hanno venduto quasi 14 milioni di copie in tutto il mondo e hanno influenzato molte band metal come Metallica e Megadeth.
