I Between the Buried and Me sono una band proveniente da Greensboro, nella Carolina del Nord[3], la cui proposta musicale, molto discussa, è da inserirsi in un ambito metalcore[1], con influenze che spaziano dal death metal al progressive metal[4].
Il nome della band deriva dalla canzone dei Counting Crows intitolata Ghost Train:
